TERMS OF SERVICE
Please read these terms of service carefully before you agree to dog waste removal service from Scoopy Doo LTD.
DOG WASTE REMOVAL SERVICE
Scoopy Doo LTD will come to your home and remove the dog waste at whatever frequency you subscribe to (daily, x times per week). We are contracted to clean GRASS AREAS and it is up to the customer to inform us if there are other non-grass areas the dog goes on, such as patios, decks, and/or dirt areas. We have a minimum service charge of $13 for any visit. All pricing is based on a yard size of a 1/4th of an acre. Yards bigger than this will be based on size for an additional charge. Also, prices will increase based on the breeds and sizes of dogs. If you would like your front yard cleaned also, this will be an additional charge, based on size. There is a first time clean up fee of $45 plus $25 per additional 5 gallon bucket that we remove.
ACCESSING YOUR YARD
It is your responsibility to make sure that Scoopy Doo LTD has access to the area and that its safe for our technicians. Please ensure that no aggressive dogs are in the yard on the day/time of scooping. Many Scoopy Doo LTD customers will use padlocks with combinations and give us the code. We will always ensure your gate is closed and locked prior to leaving. Please ensure that your gate is in full working condition and accessible to our technician at the time of service. If we come to your house and cannot access your yard due to a locked gate or your dog will not allow us, we will skip your visit for that week and try again on your next scheduled visit. You will still be charged for the visit.
GRAVEL OR STONES
If the area that we are cleaning has gravel or stones, an additional fee of $2 per visit will apply.
WINTER POLICY
The winter months present unique challenges to the dedicated poop-scooper, and much as we would love to keep your yard clean and regularly maintained, there are necessary adjustments we have to make to our normal scooping policy at this time of year. Our winter policy has been in effect for 20 years now, and we find that it’s an effective method for dealing with the challenges that winter brings.
As long as the weather remains clement, we can usually keep close to our regular schedule. Our trucks will go out on most cold days, although if there is a deep freeze or dangerously cold conditions we will suspend service for that day. And if there is snow or freezing rain on your regularly scheduled day we will scoop you on your next scheduled pick-up. Also, in the event of a nor’easter with gale-force winds above 25 mph, we will be forced to call in our scoopers for their safety.
Keep in mind that if poop is hidden in the snow or frozen to the ground, we can’t pick it up; it will be removed (weather permitting) on your next scheduled pick-up.
Once a storm has passed, please make sure that all access to your yard is cleared of debris or snow so that we can enter safely. We scoop, but we don’t shovel. It is your responsibility to keep the yard safe and accessible. If there is no path to your yard, we will have to skip your clean-up until the next scheduled day (be aware that you will still be charged for the visit). Also, sometimes the latches on fence-gates will freeze shut. We can’t force open a frozen gate for fear of breaking the latch or letting a dog loose.
We are well aware that your pets often have to change their patterns during the snowy months. Our scoopers will do their best to adjust to these pattern changes and scour the accessible areas in your yard where your dog was able to go. Many pets will use the deck or patio instead of the yard. Be aware that the poop can freeze to the cement or wood of a deck, and it can be more difficult to extract (we don’t want to damage your property in the process). In such cases, we will have to wait until it thaws.
If you have to change the area entirely (i.e.: from the backyard to the front yard), please call 516-676-0083 or email the office (Info@ScoopyDooNY.com) to inform us and we’ll change the scooping instructions.
Important to note: if we’re hit with a winter storm and have to skip your scheduled day, there are no credits given for these skipped days. The next time we come to your yard there will be twice the amount of poop, so the workload is still the same.
In the event that you want to be put on hold for the winter months, you must call or email the office the minimum 3 days prior to your scoop day to inform us. Please be advised that there will be a Spring Clean-up fee upon your re-start – and most winter accumulations can exceed ten buckets of waste, which gets expensive. And once you go on hold, the customers that stayed with us during the winter months will have priority clean-ups when the snow melts. For that reason, we don’t recommend putting your account on hold. The fact is, our standard winter policy works in your favor.
Also, please note: Scoopy-Doo will be on winter hiatus for the week between Christmas Day and New Years Day. There will be no scooping, and offices will be closed, from December 25 to January 1. Billing will continue on a regular basis, as there will be twice as much scooping the following week.
LEAVES, DEBRIS AND TALL GRASS
We understand that maintaining your yard is a lot of work and you might fall behind. We do our best to ensure that we clean your yard to our exceptional standards. We urge you to keep in mind that locating dog poop can be difficult when your grass is tall or your yard is full of leaves or there is debris. If your yard has tall grass or other debris, you might find some dog waste that we might’ve missed. We will be back on our next scheduled visit and will likely get anything we missed when yard maintenance is complete. If you find an excessive amount that we missed, please let us know as soon as possible so we can address this and correct it for you.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Scoopy Doo LTD will work through the rain and cold as long as we can safely do so. We cannot work through severe thunderstorms, flooding or an accumulation of snow (please check our Winter Policy as well). Scoopy Doo LTD is a subscription service. We do not offer refunds or credits for missed weeks due to weather as we will still pick up all of the poop as soon as it’s safe and accessible. We also do not want to tear up your yard in any way. If it is really muddy, we may skip your yard and wait until the next scheduled visit when things have dried out.
HOLIDAYS
Scoopy Doo LTD only recognizes New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day as holidays that we do not provide service. If your pick up day falls on one of those holidays, we will skip that week and pick up the following week. There are no refunds or credits for missed pick up as we still have to do the work and pick up all of the poop from the holiday week.
BILLING
Scoopy Doo LTD bills monthly for our service. Upon entering your credit card, you are authorizing Scoopy Doo LTD to start service and charge your account accordingly. Your account will be charged monthly in the beginning of the month. If your card does not go through upon the first attempt, you will be emailed and the charge will be tried again the following day. If the charge still does not go through, it will be tried again in 72 hours giving you time to resolve the issue. If the card is declined on the third try, the service will be discontinued until payment is made. If more than 30 days has passed since your last clean up, a first time clean up fee will apply. If you cancel before the end of the billing period, no refunds will be issued.

Cleaning dog waste out of rocks/gravel ($2/visit)
Yards bigger than 1/4 of an acre (based on size) or addition of front yard for cleaning
Gated Community ($2/visit)
Large Dogs ($2/each dog/visit)
ONE TIME CLEAN-UPS
One Time Clean-ups are $45.00 per 5-gallon scoop bucket. There is a 1 Bucket Non-Refundable Deposit which is run before we come. Additional buckets will be charged after the service is completed.
CANCELLATION POLICY
You can cancel at any time giving Scoopy Doo LTD 3 business days written notice. If you cancel before the end of the billing period, no refunds will be given.
SERVICE HOLDS
You may put your service on hold provided you give Scoopy Doo Ltd 3 business days written notice.
PRIVACY POLICY
Your information is for Scoopy Doo LTD use only. We will never sell your information or send it to third parties.
REVISIONS
We may revise these terms of use at any time by amending this page. You are expected to check this page from time to time and take notice of any changes, as they are binding on you. Some of the provisions contained in these terms of use may also be superseded by provisions or notices published elsewhere on our site.
